What is inside the DIY terrarium kit from Masons Home Décor
We received a DIY terrarium kit from Masons Home Décor for this review purpose. As I always love gardening and DIY projects this was a great opportunity for me to involve in a crafty activity with the kid. With beautiful succulents the DIY kit was completed with all necessary items for a terrarium. Below are the things included in our DIY terrarium kit.
- 3 Bags of Decorative Pebbles
- 1 Bag of Terrarium Mix (Soil)
- 4 Assorted Succulents
- 2 Glass Jars
- 1 Set of Shovels
- 1 Spray Bottle
- 2 figurines
How to make a Terrarium using the DIY terrarium kit
Making your own terrarium is easy. It only requires your time and interest only.
First, create a stone layer on the bottom of the glass jar.
Then add soil layer on top of stones.
After that dig holes and plant the succulents.
Now your terrarium is almost ready.
Finally use the remaining rocks and decorative pebbles to cover the exposed soil areas.
Create a garden scene using the rocks.
Your terrarium is ready!
Add the figurines as you like.
Isn’t this sound so easy? For us it took few minutes only to come up with our own terrarium in a glass jar.
The DIY kit contains 2 glass jars. But we created 1 terrarium only as it was beautiful for me when there are 4 succulents in the large jar. You can decide on your own terrarium.
Taking care of your succulent terrarium
Succulents don’t like much water. Therefore water your terrarium once a week only. When you water, use the given spray bottle and water the soil surrounded the succulents. Don’t spray water on the succulents.
Keep your terrarium in a place where it gets indirect sunlight.
